This dialog box is designed for test session.

TestGold 3 introduces two test session views.

Complex View

See the image below:

AVElife TestGold Studio d testsession 400 Test Session Dialog Box

Test name is displayed in the dialog box caption. Using buttons mentioned below you can receive information about test developer, go to his home page or contact with test developer by e-mail.

This dialog box can be divided into 4 parts:

· statistical information area
· message area
· question area
· answer definition area

In the statistical information area, you can see:

· start time of the test session;
· test session duration;
· time left till the test session end (if it is limited for the test);
· answer duration;
· time left for the answer (if it is limited for the current test question).

During test session you can see information and warning messages in the message area.

You can see also serial number of the question, total number of test questions, question text and toolbar buttons for activation of question multimedia data (image/audio/video) in the question area.

To jump
to the previous test question, press Previous Question button (or shortcut Ctrl+Left).
To jump
to the next test question, press Next Question button (or shortcut Ctrl+Right).

The answer definition area consists of choice list and toolbar buttons for activation of multimedia data (image/audio/video) to the right of the list. Instead of choice list there is an entry area for typing the data from the keyboard for free-form question types.

To answer the question, you must define it and press Submit button (or shortcut Ctrl+Enter) to confirm your answer.

The method of answer definition depends on a question type, thus you can use appropriate toolbar buttons above the list, items of the context menu of the choice list, shortcuts, right mouse button, drag and drop. By method of answer definition one can distinguish between: single response, multiple response, ranking, matching, and also free entry of one value, unordered and ordered list of values from the keyboard and essay writing. There is an Instruction on the top of this area which is sufficient for understanding of all answer definition subtleties depending on a current question type.

Each answer can be accompanied by the comment. To attach you comment, enter it in the My Comment field.

During Educational Testing you can use additional tollbar buttons:

· I Don’t Know button, used for refusal of answer definition in case of voluntary admission of tested person in impossibility to answer or disagreement with offered limited choices. Earning points are reduced less in comparison with unsuccessful attempt to guess right answer. Refusal of answer definition is available if testing rules allow it.
· Tip list can be used to answer the question. Use of tips is available if testing rules allow it and tips are specified by the test developer. It should be pointed out, when using tips, earning points are reduced for a specified value according to the testing rules and tip significant factor.

To complete test session and close this dialog box, press Done button. If you left a part of questions without answer, there will be jumping to the first missed question. Otherwise, this dialog box will be closed and test session will be registered. You will see test session result, if testing rules allow it.

To complete test session without result saving and close this dialog box, press Cancel button or X button in the right part of the dialog caption.
