This tab is designed for definition of reference free-form answer. The tested person must enter answer in free form from the keyboard (one value, unordered or ordered list of values).

In the Keyword Interpretation combo box, you can choose interpretation of specified reference answer, possible values Simple String Value, Mask (metacharacters * and ? in the sense of “one or several characters” or “any character” can be used in reference strings accordingly) and Regular expression (each reference string is a complex condition of data comparison with complicated syntax, see details in appendix Syntax of Regular Expressions).

When case matching is required, select the Case Sensitive option (“WINTER” and “Winter” will be different values).

When matching of whole words is required, select the Whole Words Only option (“cat” and “cats” will be different values).

In the Answer Keyword list, specify set of reference values, which should be entered by the tested person. Each reference value can have synonyms, which should be specified in the Synonyms list (before editing of the synonyms list, make appropriate item of the Answer Keyword list current). Often synonyms can be partially equal to the right answer. To define their equivalence, specify value of SAF (Synonym Adequacy Factor) in the second column of the synonyms list.

For Free-form Single Response question type this tab looks like the image above. The tested person must enter only one value. Reference answer is specified as one string and string list of synonyms.
