2. Test Editing Dialog Box opens. This dialog is multipage, therefore to choose some page, click the appropriate node of the test properties category tree in the left part of the dialog.
3. Go to the Description page and enter “Lesson 1 – Creating a new simple educational test from scratch
4. Then go to the Questions page (see the image below).
We will consider the creation of a new question on the example of the first one “Is Washington a capital of USA? 4.1. press Add New Question button on the Questions toolbar (see the image below).
Purpose: create a new simple educational test consisting of 3 questions from scratch.

1. Is Washington a capital of USA?
– Yes (reference answer)

2. Is cactus a spiny plant?

1. Choose File - New - Educational Test (see the image below).

4.3. When you open this dialog, General Tab is offered by default, or you can go to this tab by clicking its caption on the top 4.4. First of all, to specify some question type, choose appropriate value in the Question Type list. TestGold contains 12 question types, 11 can be used in educational tests. As the question means full agreement (“Yes”) or full disagreement (“No”) only, we can use the Alternative 4.5. Now we will specify question formulation.
You can use both formatted (using built-in text editor) and unformatted question text in TestGold. Here formatting is not necessary and we can use Unformatted
4.6. To specify possible choices for this test question and specify the right one, go to the Choices Tab by clicking
Now we must specify Reference Answer. In this case – “Yes

Now press OK button in the bottom-right part of the dialog (see the image below).
Question dialog box will be closed, new item will be added to the Question List (see the image below).

Repeat actions described above by analogy for 2 left questions.
5. Now you must save the test you have created in the file. Choose File – Save. When standard Save file dialog box opens, you must specify the file name AVELife_SAMPLE0
You have just created a new simple educational test consisting of 3 questions

Notice:
To use a new test, register it in the test list of the application:
1. Go to the Testing application mode.
2. Choose Testing | Register Test.
